2025 Mission and Beyond

For the past twenty years, Hand Up Africa & Beyond has been sharing the gospel in Africa while working to improve the lives of orphans and at-risk children. Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, our vision is to expand our ministry to support churches, schools, orphanages, and other organizations in reaching at-risk children worldwide with the gospel.  We believe God has entrusted us with a comprehensive vision to fulfill our mission through these gospel-centered initiatives.

Our goal is to empower local churches in developing overseas mission programs that align with the Biblical command of Matthew 28:18-20 going into all the world, preaching the Gospel, making disciples, and teaching God’s Word. The Gospel has the power to transform individuals, families, and entire generations. We will train mission leaders in these churches the following:

• Training on how to develop a short-term mission team
• Preparing trip leaders for logistical coordination and budget planning
• Equipping trip leaders with knowledge of overseas logistics
• Providing guidance for trip leaders on managing potential challenges
• Teaching trip leaders how to effectively equip and lead mission teams from start to finish
• Training leaders to ensure each trip includes the four key elements: Evangelism, Encouragement, Equipping, and Exposure
• Offering customized mission trips for churches to partner with Hand Up Africa.

We partner with ministries and churches to help bring the Gospel to children in unserved regions of the world by:

• Establishing churches in communities with little to no access to the Gospel
• Consulting for building projects for churches or training centers
• Training pastors and church leaders in evangelism and effective leadership
• Sending mission teams to reach at-risk children with the message of Christ through VBS and outreach ministry
• Consulting overseas churches that use their buildings as schools for education

We are committed to helping children rise above poverty by assisting communities to provide access to education, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to become productive citizens in their communities and nations. Through educational support, we aim to break the cycle of poverty, fostering hope, opportunity, and a brighter future for the next generation.

• We provide consulting services to address the needs of schools in underserved regions around the globe.

The exact number of children living on the streets worldwide is difficult to determine due to varying definitions, methodologies, and a lack of comprehensive data from many countries. However, estimates suggest that over 150 million children are living on the streets globally.

This figure includes children who are homeless, abandoned, or living in extremely vulnerable situations, often facing exploitation, abuse, and lack of basic needs such as food, education, and healthcare.

The causes of street child homelessness are complex, often involving poverty, family breakdown, abuse, conflict, and natural disasters. Many of these children end up in urban areas, where they face significant risks and challenges in terms of safety and survival. 

We are partnering with ministries in Africa that rescue street children, providing them with a safe environment away from the streets.

• We consult orphanages in determining critical needs and training.
• Our teams regularly conduct ministry activities with street children, including evangelism, Vacation Bible School (VBS), feeding programs, and outreach events.
